Round The World Yacht Race 2015

News Published Date : Thursday, 9 April, 2015 – 22:42

The excitement is palpable around the Clipper Race fleet right now. We have six training boats out this week and crew from all over the world being put through their paces. People stepping off after a week’s training, scheming and plotting about how to add legs.

It seems like the rougher the weather during training, the more people are attracted to the Southern Ocean and North Pacific. Completely understandable of course – if you’re going to challenge yourself, then really challenge yourself. And with places still available on all legs, albeit minimal, we are still able to accommodate last minute plans. Great news for existing crew but also great news for you. We’ve added more training dates right through to the end of the year, extended payment terms for later legs until the end of December too. So you quite literally haven’t yet missed the boat.

There are now only 8 RTW places available so if that’s on your mind you really do need to move fast. Legs 1, 7 and 8 are close to being full now with a little more flexibility on other legs. So if you have a hankering for the South Atlantic and racing to Cape Town, crossing the equator while racing up to China, the mighty North Pacific or incomparable Southern Ocean – don’t delay.

We will have a Clipper Race yacht in London on 18, 19 April which is open to the public as well as a presentation about the race on 18 April between 1000 and 1200. If you would like find out more about the race and then to see one of the yachts up close, please let me know.
